The updated platform aims to replace fragmented manual workflows with a digitized system that tracks supplies from the initial order through to the end patient. By syncing with PointClickCare, the software ensures that data regarding product usage is captured in real-time, reducing the risk of errors associated with duplicate entry. According to Dave Kordik, Medline’s vice president of customer technology solutions, the company developed the tool specifically because many post-acute care providers lacked access to systems built for their unique environment.
Medline Updates TrackPoint Platform for Post-Acute Care Facilities
Long-term care and hospice providers often struggle with manual, paper-based supply tracking that leaves little room for clinical accuracy. Medline is addressing this friction by launching an enhanced version of its TrackPoint platform, which now integrates directly with PointClickCare to automate inventory management and patient-level usage documentation across multiple facility locations.
Key features include standardized receiving and dispensing processes, barcode scanning to minimize administrative burden, and centralized visibility for providers managing inventory across several sites. Renee Fisher, senior vice president of national field sales for post-acute care, noted that the objective is to make supply data actionable, allowing facilities to align their spending directly with the specific needs of their patients. The system connects directly to Medline.com, streamlining the replenishment cycle for busy clinical teams.
