The expansion comes as European interest in equity markets reaches new peaks. Data from the European Securities and Markets Authority indicates that 35 million EU adults engaged in stock trading between 2022 and 2025, while German participation rose to 14.1 million shareholders last year. Mintos is positioning itself to capture this demographic by integrating stocks with existing bonds, loans, real estate, and crypto ETPs.
Mintos Adds Commission-Free Stock Trading to Multi-Asset Platform
Retail investors across Europe now have access to over 4,000 global stocks with no order fees or custody charges through Mintos, a platform aiming to consolidate diverse asset classes under a single account. The new offering allows fractional investments starting from just one euro, effectively removing traditional entry barriers.

CEO Martins Sulte noted that high fees often discourage smaller investors from entering the market. By eliminating subscription tiers and FX charges on US stocks, the platform allows users to automate their portfolios through manual trades or recurring investment plans. While the initial selection focuses on high-liquidity sectors like technology, semiconductors, and pharmaceuticals, the company plans to scale its catalogue as user demand evolves.
