For decades, healthcare organizations have treated credentialing as a high-stakes, manual scramble—chasing documents and re-verifying information every time a cycle comes due. Chris Redhage, co-founder of ProviderTrust, argues that this is fundamentally a data problem rather than a workflow challenge. By verifying information at the source and maintaining that accuracy daily, the need for repetitive administrative cycles effectively evaporates.
ProviderTrust and DataSpring Merge Verified Data to Automate Credentialing
Nashville-based ProviderTrust has integrated DataSpring’s attested provider profiles with its own DynamicNPI verification engine. By combining industry-standard attestation with daily, automated monitoring of over 4 million providers, the partnership aims to transform credentialing from a recurring administrative project into a continuous, data-driven decision process.

This integration allows shared customers to pull attested data from DataSpring—which covers roughly 80% of U.S. physicians—and run it through ProviderTrust’s monitoring system. This ensures that records remain current regardless of the timeline, whether for initial enrollment, compliance audits, or billing. Because the data is verified in real-time, organizations can identify provider eligibility on any given day without coordinating calendars across multiple health plans. The system also supports integration via API or AI agents, governed by the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ensuring that automated systems act on definitive, verified records rather than raw, unvetted input.
