The launch follows a strategic push into specialized sectors, building on the firm’s summer introduction of funds dedicated to memory chips and data centers. Amundi is positioning these products to serve both retail platforms and professional investors who require accessible vehicles for long-term thematic exposure.
Amundi Targets Space and Energy Megatrends With Three New ETFs
European asset manager Amundi is expanding its thematic portfolio with three exchange-traded funds focused on space technology, critical metals, and electrification infrastructure. The new instruments, designed to capture structural shifts in the global economy and AI development, begin trading on Xetra and Euronext Paris on October 20.

The Amundi Global Space Technologies UCITS ETF targets the space value chain, including infrastructure and ground stations essential for global connectivity. Meanwhile, the Global Critical Metals & Rare Earths UCITS ETF focuses on the materials required for energy technologies and AI hardware. Finally, the Global Electrification Infrastructure UCITS ETF invests in the power grids and distribution networks needed to handle rising electricity demand. This move places Amundi alongside firms like Schroders, Pictet, and Invesco, all of which are currently scaling their thematic product suites to meet evolving investor demand.
