The $75 Bee Frontier, a redesigned wearable available in lavender, sage, and onyx, offers seven days of battery life and improved noise-canceling dual microphones. Designed to be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing, it targets users who prefer a hands-free experience for capturing meeting recaps and to-do lists. Amazon emphasizes that all conversation data is encrypted, ensuring transcripts remain private.
Amazon Expands AI Hardware Portfolio with New Bee Listening Devices
With the launch of the Frontier wearable and the Eclipse smartphone attachment, Amazon is aggressively challenging specialized AI startups in the voice-to-text market. These devices, born from the 2025 acquisition of San Francisco-based Bee, aim to replace manual note-taking by automatically transcribing and summarizing everyday human conversations.

Amazon is simultaneously targeting the smartphone accessory market with the $100 Bee Eclipse. This magnetic, credit-card-sized device attaches directly to a phone and boasts a 21-day battery life, putting it in direct competition with established players like Pocket and Plaud. While those startups have successfully scaled to millions of users and high revenue run rates with hardware priced between $129 and $159, Amazon is banking on its lower price point and existing ecosystem to capture market share. The Frontier is currently available, while the Eclipse is expected to launch in the coming weeks.
