Pearson and Westermann Partner to Expand English Testing in Germany
With 68% of German workers citing foreign language skills as a professional necessity, Pearson and educational publisher Westermann are launching a strategic partnership. Starting in January 2027, the collaboration will integrate Pearson’s English assessments into thousands of German schools to help students meet the demands of higher education and the global workforce.
Sharon Hague, President of Pearson English Language Learning, noted that the partnership combines Pearson’s certification capabilities with Westermann’s deep classroom expertise. Nicole Bornemann, Managing Director of Westermann Service und Beratung GmbH, emphasized that the inclusion of internationally recognized testing provides clear value to their existing educational portfolio, addressing the linguistic requirements of modern careers.
