The collaboration integrates specialized virtual reality experiences into student itineraries, allowing participants to explore Anne Frank’s world before, during, and after their travels. By leveraging resources from the Anne Frank House and the University of South Carolina center, EF Educational Tours will provide students with facilitator-led lessons designed to foster empathy and civic responsibility.
EF Education First Partners with Anne Frank House to Expand History Education
Students traveling with EF Education First will gain immersive access to the life and legacy of Anne Frank, starting August 2026. The new partnership, involving the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam and the Anne Frank Center at the University of South Carolina, aims to combat antisemitism through interactive, technology-driven educational experiences.
For groups visiting Amsterdam, the curriculum extends beyond museum exhibitions. Tour directors are tasked with connecting Frank’s story to broader historical landscapes, while post-tour activities at EF Global Leadership Summits will offer workshops led by the Anne Frank education team. President Alex Huber stated that this initiative seeks to provide students with firsthand encounters with history, helping them understand the collective responsibility to build a more compassionate society. The resources will be available on selected itineraries, including European Carousel and European Quartet, with options for educators to customize programs to meet specific learning objectives.
