Docusign Integrates AI Agreement Management into Slackbot

Docusign is integrating its Intelligent Agreement Management platform directly into Slack, allowing users to query contracts and trigger automated workflows through the Slackbot interface. By leveraging the Model Context Protocol, the company aims to eliminate the friction of switching between document repositories and communication channels during the sales and procurement cycles.

The new integration, powered by Docusign’s Iris AI engine, enables employees to ask natural language questions about renewal dates, contractual obligations, and risk factors without leaving their chat environment. This functionality pulls context from CRM data, organizational hierarchies, and existing file history to provide immediate, actionable insights. Allan Thygesen, CEO of Docusign, noted that the move is designed to unify fragmented manual processes by embedding contract intelligence into the daily workspace.

Beyond simple queries, the app supports agentic workflows, such as generating agreements from pre-approved templates using live Salesforce data and managing signature requests directly within a conversation. Slack’s executive vice president, Rob Seaman, emphasized that the collaboration allows teams to maintain a single source of truth by syncing agreement statuses back to core systems automatically. The tool is available globally in the Slack Marketplace starting June 18, 2026, marking a significant expansion of Docusign's ecosystem into active workplace collaboration hubs.
