AHOY Launches Sovereign-Ready Toolkit for Physical AI

At Web Summit Rio, deeptech firm AHOY introduced its Perception Suite, an auditable toolkit designed to unify perception, intelligence, and orchestration for real-world environments. The stack allows governments and enterprises to deploy AI independently on their own infrastructure, including fully air-gapped systems, without relying on persistent cloud connectivity.

The suite addresses critical gaps in current AI deployments by consolidating vision, audio, and data intelligence into a single stack that functions on-chip and at the edge. By removing the need for cloud dependency, the system ensures that sensitive operational data remains under the user's control. AHOY CEO Jamil Shinawi stated that the platform enables ministry-level and infrastructure operators to maintain sovereign-grade AI, ensuring every system action is fully auditable.

Technically, the suite comprises four integrated modules: a real-time Vision SDK, an audio intelligence stack with Portuguese-language speech capabilities, a Context-aware GraphRAG (GRAG) for deterministic decision-making, and an orchestration layer that enforces permissioning at millisecond latency. The system has achieved a 10% performance improvement, consistently operating in under 100 milliseconds for on-device tasks.

To support these advancements, AHOY has launched Canada’s first Physical AI Lab in Montreal, led by Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Hood Khizer and Chief Technologist Dr. Benoit Julien. This facility will serve as the primary hub for the company's research partnership with Mila — Quebec AI Institute, focusing on the evolution of on-device Physical AI systems.
