Beal brings a 15-year track record in mining technology and capital markets to the Toronto-based explorer. During his tenure at NextOre, which began in 2017, he scaled the company from a startup to a $131 million valuation, deploying magnetic resonance sorting systems across five countries. His background also includes stints at RFC Ambrian, where he managed corporate advisory mandates for major miners, and engineering roles in copper and nickel operations across Canada and Australia.
Power Metallic Mines Appoints Christopher Beal as VP of Operations
Christopher Beal, the former CEO of mineral technology firm NextOre, has joined Power Metallic Mines Inc. as Vice President of Operations. His immediate mandate is to steer the company’s Nisk project through its upcoming Preliminary Economic Assessment and subsequent feasibility studies as the firm pushes toward a formal development decision.

CEO Terry Lynch expects the transition to be phased, with Beal moving into a full-time role as Chief Operating Officer by early 2027. The company is currently focused on expanding its Nisk-Lion-Tiger land package, which now spans approximately 330 square kilometers. The appointment signals a shift in strategy for Power Metallic as it attempts to de-risk the Nisk deposit—a high-grade polymetallic system—and transition from exploration to potential mine development.
