The new system centers on the SG510HX string inverter, which utilizes silicon carbide components and updated cooling technology to reach 511.5 kW of output. By pairing this with the MVS7440-LV medium-voltage station, Sungrow aims to lower the levelized cost of electricity by 1% compared to traditional standalone configurations. The architecture supports a 7.44 MW large-block design, which reduces the required investment in cabling and mounting structures.
Safety features include a multi-layer protection suite. The SG510HX integrates Smart Shutdown Solution 3.0, which uses a combination of mechanical and electronic switches to manage fault currents and prevent backfeed risks. Unlike standard systems that operate independently, this setup enables bidirectional communication between components to ensure coordinated responses during insulation faults or environmental anomalies.
