The contribution secures naming rights for the facility’s west wing, which is set to debut on July 4, 2026, coinciding with the nation’s semiquincentennial.
Griffin stated that the gift reflects a commitment to the enduring ideals championed by the 26th president. The library is slated to be the first carbon-neutral institution of its kind, integrating sustainable design with the surrounding North Dakota ecology. The project represents a significant philanthropic effort by Griffin Catalyst, which focuses on education, science, and democratic engagement.
