Errett brings decades of experience as a four-time entrepreneur and former general partner at venture firm Maveron. Her track record at Madison Reed, where she built an omnichannel beauty empire, will serve as a blueprint for Pendulum’s next phase of growth. CEO Colleen Cutcliffe noted that Errett’s ability to challenge market status quos will be instrumental as the company scales its reach into metabolic and women’s health.
Amy Errett Joins Pendulum Therapeutics Board to Scale Microbiome Health
As consumer interest in the gut microbiome shifts from niche research to mainstream health, San Francisco-based biotechnology firm Pendulum Therapeutics has tapped Madison Reed founder Amy Errett to join its board of directors, signaling a strategic push to transform its clinical science into a household consumer brand.

Pendulum has staked its reputation on rigorous clinical validation, most notably with its Pendulum Glucose Control probiotic, which demonstrated an ability to reduce A1C levels in Type 2 diabetes patients in a 2020 BMJ study. The company is now diversifying its product line, recently introducing Gut Fuel, a fiber supplement designed for broader dietary integration. With backing from investors like Sequoia Capital and the Mayo Clinic, the board appointment aims to bridge the gap between complex microbial science and daily consumer wellness habits.
