Over 1.2 million visitors flocked to the 798 Art District alone as Beijing Art Season 2026 wrapped up its month-long run on June 15. The festival, themed "Art Gathers in Beijing, Harmony Embraces All," successfully bridged the gap between elite gallery markets and public urban spaces, drawing participants from over 20 countries.
Beyond traditional museum settings, the festival permeated innovation parks and public districts through digital installations and outdoor sculptures. State-owned enterprises collaborated to push art into everyday life, supported by new initiatives like NFC-enabled ticketing and integrated tourism packages. International collaboration remained at the forefront, highlighted by a UNESCO-backed children’s exhibition and cultural exchange programs involving Georgia and Brazil.
