Duck Brand Names 10 Finalists for 2026 Stuck at Prom Scholarship

Ten high school students have emerged as finalists in the 26th annual Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest, moving from a pool of 161 entries. These participants transformed thousands of feet of Duck Tape into elaborate, runway-ready prom attire, now competing for a top prize of $10,000 in educational funding.

The finalists were selected for their technical precision and creative vision, with designs ranging from avant-garde tailoring to historical, Old Hollywood-inspired silhouettes. The craftsmanship required for these projects was significant; some students dedicated hundreds of hours to their creations, with Idaho’s Rio Larson utilizing 56 rolls of tape over 760 hours to complete a single garment. Other notable finalists include Sophie Chai of California, who logged 250 hours, and Michigan’s Jeremiah Constantine, who spent 61 hours constructing his tuxedo look.

Public voting is now open at StuckAtProm.com and will continue through July 13. The competition awards $10,000 to the creators of the top-voted dress and tuxedo, while eight runners-up will receive $1,000 scholarships. Beyond the primary awards, Shurtape Technologies has introduced a new category, Red, White & Made By You, to recognize patriotic designs. Winners are scheduled to be announced on or around July 20.
