Recent Executive Appointments Across Global Wealth Management
A wave of senior leadership changes is reshaping wealth management firms in the UK and beyond, as institutions prioritize specialized expertise in infrastructure, private lending, and exchange-traded funds to navigate a shifting economic environment and drive regional expansion.
ATLAS Infrastructure has appointed Brian Sparkes as head of investor relations for the UK and Europe. Sparkes arrives with two decades of experience, including a 12-year tenure at Macquarie Asset Management, to oversee the firm’s distribution strategy. Rod Chisolm, head of investments, noted that Sparkes’ background will be instrumental in supporting the firm’s next phase of growth across the region.
Private bank Lyford has recruited Jonathan Carfi to bolster its asset-backed lending services for ultra-high-net-worth clients. Carfi, formerly of KPMG LLP’s Deal Advisory practice, brings international experience in managing complex capital structures. Partner Matt Meehan stated that the move aims to elevate the bank's ability to provide sophisticated, bespoke bridging solutions.
In Glasgow, Murphy Wealth has added senior financial planner Shane Presley to its team. With over 30 years of industry experience, Presley, a member of the CISI and CII, will focus on supporting the firm’s expansion and mentoring staff. CEO Adrian Murphy highlighted the alignment of Presley’s technical expertise with the firm’s client-centric approach.
Finally, Capital Group has tapped Jamie Sinclair, formerly of BlackRock, to serve as head of ETFs for Europe and Asia-Pacific. Based in London, Sinclair will leverage his fifteen years of industry experience to lead distribution efforts. Capital Group currently manages $3.4 trillion in assets and holds a significant position as the third-largest active ETF issuer in the United States.
