The rebranding effort specifically targets the company's mainstream stores, which now operate as Group 1 Subaru El Paso, Group 1 Ford of El Paso, and Group 1 GMC Westside, alongside the Group 1 Collision El Paso center. While the signage has shifted to reflect the parent company's name, the underlying operations remain untouched. Ownership, staffing, and local management teams continue to function exactly as they did prior to the rollout.
Group 1 Automotive Unifies El Paso Dealership Branding
After a six-month transition ending in August 2025, Group 1 Automotive has finalized its rebranding across El Paso. The initiative brings six dealerships and a collision center under a single corporate identity, linking the far West Texas and southern New Mexico facilities to the company's national retail network.

Luxury franchises in the area, including Audi El Paso, BMW of El Paso, and Porsche El Paso, will maintain their individual manufacturer branding rather than adopting the Group 1 name. David Fesmire, Central Texas Market Director, emphasized that the change is primarily aesthetic, designed to leverage the scale of a Fortune 250 retailer while preserving the established local service standards that customers in the region rely on.
