The certification process, managed through Link Engineering’s Police Laboratory Brake Evaluation Program, validates that these components maintain structural integrity and stopping power under extreme conditions. By achieving this status, DFC products are officially listed in the AMECA Police Declaration of Conformity, providing procurement officers with documented proof that the parts match original equipment standards for durability, friction consistency, and thermal management.
"Police vehicles are not ordinary vehicles," said Dan Nguyen, CEO of Dynamic Friction Company. "They require components that go beyond everyday automotive standards." The testing regimen evaluates critical metrics including emergency-driving cycles, noise behavior under severe heat, and friction-material bonding. The newly certified range covers 2020-2026 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor models and 2021-2026 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV and SSV units, ensuring that maintenance teams have access to parts specifically engineered for the continuous, high-demand nature of law enforcement service.
