The new architecture acts as a governance bridge between the company’s Unified Endpoint Management platform and its AI interface. When an administrator submits a request, the Context Layer interprets the intent and automatically routes it to specialized agents, bypassing the need for manual navigation through console menus. These agents are categorized into specific domains, including device lifecycle management, identity and group administration, policy configuration, application deployment, and operational reporting.
Hexnode integrates Agentic AI to automate endpoint management
San Francisco-based software provider Hexnode has launched the Hexnode Context Layer, an orchestration engine designed to bridge natural-language commands with complex endpoint management tasks. By connecting the Genie AI interface to live fleet data, the system allows IT administrators to execute multi-step workflows through simple conversational prompts.

This shift aims to reduce administrative friction by automating the reasoning process across disparate UEM functions. While the system manages end-to-end tasks like fleet discovery or software repository updates, it retains human oversight for high-consequence actions, requiring administrator approval before execution. CEO Apu Pavithran noted that the platform intends to consolidate fragmented IT tasks into a single intelligent interface. Looking ahead, Hexnode plans to expand this agentic framework to its XDR and IdP products, signaling a move toward fully autonomous security and identity orchestration.
