Tanda, which operates internationally as Workforce.com, serves approximately 8,000 businesses across the hospitality, retail, and healthcare sectors. The platform consolidates recruiting, rostering, and payroll into a single codebase, a design that addresses the compliance complexities inherent in shift-based employment. While terms of the transaction were not disclosed, co-founders will retain significant ownership stakes, with Jake Phillpot continuing in his role as Chief Executive Officer.
Thoma Bravo Secures Growth Stake in Workforce Platform Tanda
After fourteen years of self-funded growth, Brisbane-based Tanda has accepted its first outside investment from Thoma Bravo. The deal aims to accelerate the company’s AI-driven product roadmap and global expansion, marking a shift for the workforce management software provider as it targets the role of a global category leader.

Thoma Bravo partners view the platform as a solution to the fragmentation caused by legacy systems that currently plague frontline industries. According to Carl Press, a partner at the investment firm, the founders have established a foundation for an AI-native management tool that addresses critical legal and operational risks for employers. Thoma Bravo, which manages roughly $170 billion in assets, has invested in approximately 600 software companies over the past two decades. For Tanda, the partnership provides the capital and sector expertise required to scale operations beyond its existing footprint in Australia, North America, the United Kingdom, and Southeast Asia.
