Alpha Fusion and Curadh MTR Merge Astatine-211 Pipelines

The integration combines Alpha Fusion’s existing clinical-stage pipeline and established isotope supply chain with the specialized radiopharmaceutical development expertise of Curadh MTR. By uniting these assets, the companies expect to secure a unique position as the only entity globally with multiple clinical-stage pipelines dedicated to Astatine-211, a radioactive isotope capable of delivering localized radiation directly to malignant cells.

Dr. Armour, who previously founded Curadh MTR and led the clinical development of the prostate cancer therapy Pluvicto, brings extensive experience in securing FDA and EMA approvals. Her appointment is intended to accelerate the transition of early-stage assets into the clinical setting. Alpha Fusion CEO Sunao Fujioka emphasized that the partnership builds upon successful Japanese trials, leveraging Armour’s track record to navigate the complex regulatory and manufacturing hurdles associated with short-lived isotopes. The companies plan to leverage a shared network of international investors and suppliers to fast-track these targeted treatments toward commercial availability.
