Marketo Co-Founder Jon Miller Launches AI-Driven Platform Phave

Jon Miller, the architect behind Marketo and Engagio, is challenging his own legacy with the launch of Phave. Emerging from two years of stealth, the platform abandons rigid, rule-based automation in favor of a reasoning engine designed to replace traditional tools like HubSpot and Pardot in enterprise marketing environments.

Legacy marketing systems rely on predetermined paths, forcing teams to manually configure every email or lead transition. This constraint limits campaigns to a handful of tracks, failing to account for the complexity of modern buying committees. Phave shifts this model by using its intelligence core, Maestro, to compute individual playlists for each contact. Instead of following static instructions, the system weighs every queued touch across all active campaigns to optimize timing and content for specific individuals.

Marketers interact with the platform using plain language, bypassing the complex configurations that typically gatekeep campaign execution. The architecture treats accounts and buying groups as distinct entities, allowing companies to manage multiple stakeholders at different lifecycle stages simultaneously. According to Bruce Eidsvik, Chief Growth Officer at Servion Global Solutions, this shift has allowed his team to more than double their marketing execution volume by automating the nuance of multi-site outreach.

Phave is priced starting at $36,000 annually, shifting the financial model from database size to active engagement volume. To validate the platform’s capabilities, the company conducted a benchmarking study against legacy competitors across 481 enterprise requirements, with scoring independently verified by Claude. The firm, backed by FirstMark, Ridge Ventures, and Costanoa Ventures, is now available for enterprise use, with Miller set to discuss the transition toward reasoning-based automation on September 29.
